Brown 2 Green is an energy transition investment company focused on the acquisition of low carbon and fossil fuel energy assets to put them on a pathway to carbon neutrality through trading or strategic upgrades.
We believe that a successful energy transition needs to address all three dimensions of the energy system – security, affordability, and sustainability. That means investing in today’s energy system and in the transition to lower carbon energy.
We believe that the opportunity to buy assets on a pathway to carbon neutrality with green initiatives such as power storage and CO2 carbon capture is significant, and we are committed to helping the world transition to a clean energy future.
Assets with a clear path to carbon neutrality
We look for assets that have existing infrastructure that can be retrofitted to use renewable energy sources or that are located in areas with good potential for developing renewable energy, carbon capture or energy storage projects.
Partner with experienced operators
We work with experienced operators who have a proven track record of successfully managing and transitioning energy assets.
Invest in innovative technologies
We are committed to investing in innovative technologies that can help us improve the efficiency and reduce the cost and complexity of converting fossil fuel energy assets to carbon neutral.
Create sustainable value for all stakeholders
We believe that the energy transition must be secure, affordable for all and sustainable. We are committed to creating jobs, supporting local communities, and generating a return for our investors.
Strategic Asset Identification
Brown 2 Green’s strategic asset identification process is focused on identifying low carbon and fossil fuel energy assets that have a clear path to carbon neutrality. We consider a number of factors when evaluating potential assets, including:
- Existing infrastructure. We look for assets that have existing infrastructure that can be retrofitted to use renewable energy sources or that are located in areas with good potential for developing renewable energy, carbon capture or energy storage projects.
- Remaining useful life. We assess the remaining useful life of the asset and the cost of converting it to carbon neutral. We also consider the potential for the asset to increase its efficiency and generate revenue from other sources, such as battery storage or CO2 capture and storage.
- Regulatory environment. We evaluate the regulatory environment in which the asset operates to assess the risks and opportunities associated with converting it to carbon neutral.
- Community support. We engage with local communities to understand their views on the conversion of the asset to carbon neutral. We are committed to working with communities to ensure that our investments have a positive impact.
Market research
We monitor the market for low carbon and fossil fuel energy assets and identify assets that may be coming up for sale.

Future-Proofing Through R&D
Greening the Capture Process
Thought Leadership
- Developing new energy storage operations that can help to balance the grid and provide backup power during outages.
- Developing new carbon capture and storage technologies that can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our operations and from other sources.
- We also partner with other companies, universities, and research organizations to accelerate the development and deployment of new technologies.
We believe that investing in R&D is essential to future-proofing our business and to ensuring that we can continue to lead the way in the energy transition.
